It might have been raining but that didn’t dampen the day for Laura and Jonny as they tied the knot at the beautiful St Peters Church in Eastgate, Lincoln followed by a reception at Fen Farm
Laura was joined by Bridesmaids Emma, Ashley and Lauren plus Maid of Honour Tamara who’s job it was to keep everyone’s nerves at bay! The Bridal bouquet was courtesy of Flowers by Sandra. Jonny was looked after by his best man Joe and Groomsmen Pat, Nick and Richard.
There were beautiful readings during the ceremony, first Laura’s brother Sam and James read a poem to the congregation followed later on by Jonny’s father Peter who read a passage from the Bible. After the ceremony group shots were conducted inside because of the weather.
The Bride and Groom made their way to Fen Farm in a classic red Nissan Figaro they stopped for some pictures before enjoying a drink and a mingle with their guests.
There were lots of lovely little touches at fen Farm which really made the wedding. The framed pictures of both sets of parents - Phil and Mandy Wilkinson and Peter and Lesley Richardson were a particular highlight.
The speeches were a mixture of Humour and Emotion as guests got the full story of Jonny and Laura's relationship told via father of the Bride Phil, best man Joe and the Groom himself.
The couple met through being on the rowing teams for Nottingham Trent University. Jonny was coach and Laura was Social Secretary. From there after Uni they eventually both moved to Lincoln to be together - and get married!
All in all it was a wonderful day with a lovely couple.
